Undertones, Simplified: Find a Shade That Loves Daylight
THE STORY
Busy. Stressed. FINE. / At the time, It felt normal.
I was proud of the life I had built. Work was going well. I travelled constantly. I trained for marathons. Most mornings started before sunrise and most days ended later than they should have.
If you'd asked me back then how I was doing, I would have said I was fine. Maybe a little stressed. Maybe working too much. But nothing unusual.
The truth is, I was tired all the time. Not the kind of tiredness that makes you stop. The kind you learn to live with. Another coffee. Another deadline. Another reason why now wasn't the right time to slow down.
The Wake-Up Call
The Andes weren't part of some grand plan. I was simply travelling. But at 5,000 metres, something happened that I couldn't brush off or explain away.
The months that followed were filled with tests, appointments, and questions I had spent years avoiding. For the first time, I stopped asking how to perform better and started asking how I actually wanted to live.
When Health Became a Project.
For a while, I treated my health the same way I treated everything else.
Research. Optimise. Improve.
I had supplements for my supplements. Systems for my systems.
And somehow, the more complicated it became, the further away I felt from what I was actually looking for. The answers that stayed with me weren't the newest ones. They were usually the oldest.
A valley between two mountains.
Somewhere between Nanga Parbat and K2, my search took an unexpected turn.
A valley that was full of apricot orchards. Families had been tending them for generations. What stood out wasn't a single ingredient. It was the relationship people had with food. There was a simplicity to it that felt strangely unfamiliar.
The apricot kernel had been there all along. I was the one arriving late to the story.
The Morning it Clicked
People always assume the idea came in the Himalayas. It didn't. It came much later, during a run along the Thames.
By then, I had spent years reading, researching, testing, and trying to understand what I had experienced. The ingredients were there. The pieces were there.
For the first time, I could see how they fit together.
The Beginning / How Faenix came to life
I didn't want to create another supplement. I was looking for something I could trust. Something simple enough to become part of everyday life. At some point, I stopped looking for the breakthrough. I became more interested in the things people were doing every day. By the time FAENIX took shape, I wasn't looking for a quick fix anymore. What started as a personal search eventually became a product.
But long before there was a bottle, there was a question I was trying to answer for myself. FAENIX grew from that idea.
